I was born in March of 1980. I've been a Downriver-ite all my life. Grew up in Allen Park and schooled in Melvindale.
When I went to college I really didn't know what I wanted to do but, I graduated college in 2003 with a degree in Electronic Media. I also had a minor in Anthropology. Weird, I know. I figured I was destined to make documentaries for PBS all my life.
My radio career started here at WDFN when I interned for the Gov back in 2001. I was hired at the end of the internship and started producing various shows on DFN. Icetime, The 19th Hole, Lions Postgame, That Evening Sports Show (sorry Brady), I did them all. In 2002, I began producing the Pistons games on a regular basis and stayed there until September 2006. On September 5, 2006 I took over "It Is What It Is" on a full-time basis. Less than a year later I took over for the departed Gov on Stoney and Wojo, July 16, 2007.
On a personal level... As seems to be the case in this business, I married well. My wife, Stacy, has no business being married to a guy like me. We have a young son named Ewan who is the coolest kid I know. We live in Wyandotte with our dog Bella. We enjoy movies, traveling, sports and spending time with family and friends. I also like to squeeze in some video games, golf and hockey when I get the time.
And in case you missed his first book INFECTED, here is the trailer for it too.
I'm Back...Again.

Fresh off a second stint on the disabled list in less then a year (five months to be exact), I find myself looking towards golf season. I'm getting cabin fever and can't wait for spring so I can get my game back in shape. Being on the shelf since July, I'm itching to get back on the links.
That said, I found myself browsing around the golf magazines online and found a link to this story from the Mirror.
It's not hard to figure out why people in the US don't particularly care for Sergio Garcia after reading this piece. He may be the biggest whiner and excuse maker in golf. It's always somebody else's fault. I'm sure the Ryder Cup lockeroom was just a pit not fit for human existance. Read for yourself...
Sergio Garcia reveals why Europe lost the Ryder Cup
Sergio
Garcia has finally revealed the reason for Europe's thrashing at the
Ryder Cup this year - a small dressing room with only two showers!
And
the world No.2 admitted his cold relationship with double Open champion
Padraig Harrington means they should never play together against the
Americans.
The 28-year-old Spaniard failed to win any of his
four matches in Valhalla as Paul Azinger's team were victorious for the
first time since 1999.
"The US team played their cards well,"
he said. "They knew where the pins were going to be and the tees and we
didn't. The locker-room we had was really, really small and
uncomfortable. I wish it had been even half the size of theirs. We had
two showers, one next to a toilet.
"At the opening ceremony
they played my anthem twice, once when the Spanish flag was raised and
once when the Swedish flag was raised."
Garcia claimed captain Nick Faldo's speech at the opening ceremony
had been "too long" and said Europe had needed more than one
vice-captain.
But he added: "The defeat was not Faldo's fault.
Nick Faldo was not the best captain we have ever had, but I don't think
he was the worst."
And he also acknowledged he has little in common with Irishman Harrington.
"He is not my best friend," he said. "It'd probably not be good for us to be paired together."

Where's Al Sobotka When You Need Him?

I sure hope the Red Wings are way off the ice by the time the zamboni starts making it's way around the ice for the Winter Classic.
Check out this dumbass.
Avery Suspended Indefinitely...

GOOD RIDDANCE!
Send him home forever. This guy is a loser and doesn't deserve the priviledge of playing in the NHL.
What a Kook.

I'll say this right off the top, I don't like Sean Avery. I think he's a goon that has no respect for the game and makes a living off of his antics. It's no wonder he bounced around the league like he has (four teams in nine years) and the Dallas Stars have had "chemistry problems" since he arrived.
But this piece from E:60 on ESPN last night takes the cake. There is something seriously wrong with this dude and I don't mean that he likes fashion. He just sounds...off. This entire piece just struck me as very odd, almost like he was doing Rachel Nichols a favor by letter her interview him. Take a look.
Did I Miss the Rainbow?

I didn't see the rainbow of hope over the country on Wednesday morning. Did I miss it?
If you rely on the movies to get your political "insight" there's something wrong. Especially if Oliver Stone directs that movie.
What a Loser.

Justin Boren dressed as Rich Rodriguez for Halloween. This guy obviously has some sort of issue with Rodriguez. Maybe he just got his feeling hurt because Rich told him he couldn't cut it at Michigan anymore. Move on Justin you're truly showing your Buckeye-ness by acting like this. It's childish.
