Nerd of Batman, sports, logic, objectivity, Star Trek, personal enlightenment, Lincoln, the Rays, psychology, mic dropping. Kind've in that order.
Ohio St. and their cupcake schedule start the coaches poll at number two. I'd say the only surprise is Stanford ranked 4th - two years after Luck left - but I've learned not to underestimate that program or David Shaw.
I don't wanna see a guy get hurt to to be served his karma, a less painful education would be welcome, but Super Bowl week villain Chris Culliver tore his ACL.
It's not about ethics, or morality, it's about sales, and it's really sad.
Really? A manager's left or right arm when calling to the bullpen is 'official'!?
Tempered and thoughful insight from Jason Whitlock on the Riley Cooper situation.
Fantastic and thorough write up on the sad, swift crumbling of the Phillies empire. I was infuriated by the Howard contract extension, then when Papelbon was signed to the richest closer deal in history. I'll also add that while the Phillies denied themselves many first round picks because of who they often chose to sign in free agenc, thus they needed to compensate teams, domestic and international player development beyond that (since former minors director Mike Arbuckle departed) has been atrocious.
The mid-credits scene from The Wolverine leading up to DOFP. Wolverine was very good, surprisingly more violent than I expected - though I would've welcomed more - and in a way I'd say it was Inception, but less complex, with claws. Oh, there's a HUGE spoiler, or at least something that needs to be answered early in DOFP in this scene. I warned you.
